The first weekend in March marked the annual Buckman Show and Sell in Portland, OR. This was our second year participating in this very cool event. The Buckman School is an arts-based elementary school located in Portland. This annual fundraising event helps to ensure that this program continues to be available to young children now and for future students. We love helping out in anyway that we can to promote an arts education for kids-something that seems to be on the chopping block of more and more budgets these days.

We weren’t sure how many people would turn out this year, with the sagging economy, but we were pleasantly surprised at the numer of people who showed up, and supported the sale! Even though handmade toys are more of a luxury these days, we certainly appreciate every purchase made, and 30% of sales went to support the school! We hope we’ll get another invitation to be a part of this great event again next year, and if you’ve never been-you should plan on attending, we’ll look for you!
