Wonderland of Crafty Goodness

Crafty Wonderland Postcard Front

We’re scrambling to get ready for the November Crafty Wonderland show here in Portland. We got word about two weeks ago that Dolls for Friends had been selected by the CW panel to show and sell at this Sunday’s event. This is the first show of this type that we’ve been involved in since starting DFF.

While we’re extremely excited about being represented in this show, we’ve also come to realize (at about 2am yesterday morning) just how much work it’s going to take on our part to pull this together.

Jill has been furiously sewing her little hands off to put together her selection of work for the show. We’re looking at putting together about two dozen hand-made pieces for the day’s event. Some will be basic felt creations, while others are wonderfully detailed in their construction. I’m fairly amazed at what Jill has been able to pull together on such a short time frame.

In the meantime, I’ve been trying to make additional changes to the site, reworking and printing our low budget, eco friendly tags and trying to coordinate other promotional materials that we will hopefully have time to get printed and delivered prior to this weekend.

We’re hoping that all will go well with the show and that we will be able to spread a little dff love around the Portland Metro area. We’re a little unsure of what to expect, but regardless of what happens we are sure it will be a great learning experience.

If you’re in the area on Sunday (Doug Fir Lounge, 830 East Burnside, PDX) between 11am and 4pm feel free to stop by and say hello. Moral support is always appreciated.
